Thrive Uganda is a non-profit organization working to ensure that every child can grow up in the love and care of a family. Working with partner organizations committed to family preservation, family reunification, and foster care, Thrive Uganda is helping orphaned and vulnerable children live and thrive at home.
We believe that the best way to keep children in families, and out of childcare institutions, is through working with best-practice organizations. Best practice organizations work at the local level to provide family preservation, family reunification and foster care programs to children and families most at risk. Working in communities for the long-term, they are able to adapt to changing needs of those they serve. We work with partner organizations to provide programs to prevent family breakdown and to help children in institutions to grow up in families by supporting reunification, kinship care and foster care.
Our current partner is Thrive (a different organization, with a similar name). Thrive is a non-profit organization working in rural Uganda that provides economic empowerment and social support to families caring for orphaned and vulnerable children. Our work with thrive focuses on family preservation, kinship care and foster care.
